Puppy Update - Week 1 Complete

Those baby blues will be showing any day, now the crazy part starts.
Surviving week one is like running a gauntlet if you are unprepared. Thankfully for us, the cosmos were aligned and the week went smooth without issue. Soon enough, the little carpet hippos will begin to open their eyes and begin to explore the big wide world (even if it's a room at the moment). Our bets are on Kirie being the first to open her eyes. Only time can tell, the suspense is killing us at this point!
The pups are enjoying the warm morning rays of sun. Here is little Suede giving a big wake-up yawn with her litter mates. You can't help but smile when you are greeted like this.
Our proud mother Lola is doing great health and mental wise. It is just as important her well being is taken care of so she can mother the best she can. She has been so solid with no issues with mastitis, postpartum depression, or even aggression. She is and absolute dream of a mother and her litter is so lucky to have her.
Here is a little good morning video. Notice how three of the pups are in the corner? They ended up migrating to the morning sun. We know who the sun dogs are going to be!
