It has been a long day for our beautiful Momma.

She has successfully delivered 7 precious puppies into the world. It was almost a 24 hour delivery, with the help of the wonderful people at VCA's Guardian Veterinary Centre we can sleep (kind of!) soundly.

Here is the first look at Lottie and her littermates.

The first four were no problem! But...

We noticed that she was stalling her labour and with great concern, rushed our new Mama to Guardian with haste. With the four infant pups in tow, Momma, heating pads, blankets, and all other needed necessities we were on our way.

From the looks of it, we were looking at an emergency C-section. One of the pups ended up developing much faster than the rest for some unknown reason. Lola was amazing and caused no harm to herself or her new pups by forcing a stall in her labor, the vets were astounded especially being a first time mother. The surgeons were incredible and the staff being so helpful relieved the stressful burden on us and Mom.

After the long wait, we have our last three!

We could have asked for more wonderful people to take care of our special girl. Thank you so much Guardian!

After the long 48 hours (for me and Lola), we are finally headed home!
